Atlas DIY offers comprehensive legal EMPOWERMENT.
What does that mean? Well, we don't see our lawyers as providing a service, but we empower you to change your life using the laws in place to help you! Right now we work with individuals on their immigration legal cases, providing holistic support in the areas of education and benefits, and providing referrals for all other types of cases!
Atlas works to empower you on a variety of immigration cases, including DACA, to U and T visas, SIJS and Asylum adjustments, and citizenship applications! We also provide comprehensive legal assessments.
At this time we are unable to take on Asylum applications and the family-side of SIJS cases, though we can help you with a referral!
ALL of Atlas's services are free of charge! As we are a cooperative, however, we do ask that all of our members pitch in at the office for four hours a month! One great way to get involved is to complete an ACCESS project, teaching others what you have learned about the legal process!
Atlas' legal team is lead by our co-founder, Lauren Burke, who has been representing immigrants since graduating from NYU Law school in 2009. She was recently named one of Forbes' top young lawyers in the country!
Atlas is honored to run a clinic with Brooklyn Law School so that student interns work directly to maximize the number of clients Atlas can see! We also work with law students from across the country who come to Atlas to hone their legal skills and support our youth.
Atlas also works with amazing lawyers from NYC's top law firms to handle cases beyond our expertise and ability!

Currently we are only able to offer legal services to our member clients between ages 14-24. If a client has a case where a parent or sibling can add as a derivative, however, we can work with you as well. We are also available to work as consultants and provide technical support from other cases.

Please note that we can not always see everyone right away, so if you feel you have an emergency, such as you are in deportation proceedings or currently facing domestic violence, please state so in your initial email.
